One of Judith Leiber's favorite themes is the sleeping or beckoning cat. A symbol of good luck and happiness, this one welcomes you to another unforgettable night. Covered front and back with an all over patchwork pattern, Leiber reveals her passion for quilts. The colors of the patchwork vary from shades of light and dark blue to gold, silver and green, all outlined in ebony crystals. Her amber ears and polished black onyx eyes add a whimsical touch. Around her neck is a collar of black crystals. An ebony snap closure on the side opens to a gold leather interior. She sits on a soft base of gold leather. There are countless cats in Judith Leiber's collection, sleeping cats, beckoning cats and hello kitty cats. I own at least eight different styles because to me they are essential!
